What was the highlight of Hotel Christiania Teater
Stylish, a bit cramped, but clean and comfortable with some charm in an excellent location.
The location is excellent, across from a park in the center of the city. The rooms had quality furniture and bathroom products. Our room faced into a central atrium and was very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, and included a specific section of gluten-free products (made my celiac husband happy).
Even though we booked a deluxe king and were told we were upgraded to a junior suite, the room, while furnished at a high quality, was not very spacious. Though we had a sofa, coffee table, and two chairs, we had little room to open our suitcases and still maneuver our way around the room. Closet and drawer space was scarce, so the sofa and chairs got mostly used as clothes racks. (That being said, I think it's generally hard to find spacious rooms in Norway, and we were overall happy with our stay and would recommend the hotel.)

Excellent hotel choice
Location is perfect to explore the city, very walkable, lots of very good places to eat and drink although as expected Norway is definitely at the top end of pricing. The room was modern and appeared to be recently refurbished, good quality fixtures with an excellent roomy bathroom with a large wet room shower. Bed was large and comfortable, room was reasonable in size but not overly big, adequate though. Air conditioning was very efficient both in cooling and heating the room A very unique area of the hotel which has a rich history of entertainment and culture with some superb art work and sculptures throughout the hotel, well appreciated by ourselves. Breakfast was of a buffet style and was excellent with lots of choice, very well staffed and maintained, an excellent start to the day. The staff were brilliant from beginning to end , lovely people - Thank you so much Really appreciated the hot sunny weather you ordered for our stay , Oslo is a lovely city with plenty of culture , history and quality museums. Overall an excellent Oslo holiday at an excellent hotel that completely suited our needs
We stayed for 6 nights and was disappointed that the only storage space for clothes was a wardrobe with about 5 hangers, no shelves , no draws at all in the room so it meant living out of the suitcase. The safe was situated on the very top shelf ( only shelf ) of the wardrobe, it was impossible to see inside , had to stand on a chair in the room to view if we had cleared everything out when leaving, very poor and no thought put into the siting, surely a health and safety issue? The light switches were also incorporated as dimmers , might just be us but they seemed to have a mind of their own when using. The automatic water control on the tap is annoying as it turns off too quickly Was told on reception on first day that the hotel did not do English breakfast tea which we thought was strange as at breakfast on the first morning there were loads available at the buffet breakfast.

Loved it!!!
Amazing central location convenient to everything. Minutes away from métro stop for the train that goes very quicly to the international airport. Interesting old building that retains an early 20th century theater dwith stucco décorations. Beautiful, fresh renovation. Luxurious, lavish breakfast that is a beautiful experience in and of itself. Wonderful staff! So very helpful! Perfect!
